As part of its continuing expansion across the Asia Pacific region, Cigna has announced the appointment of Ray Bond as the new Regional Head of Distribution – Individual Health, for Cigna’s Asia Pacific Leadership Team, based in Hong Kong and reporting to Patrick Graham, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, Cigna International Markets.

Bond’s duties will include expanding Cigna’s Global IPMI business in the Asia Pacific region, which targets globally mobile individuals through a multi-channel approach. He will also be responsible for driving sales strategy in concert with Asian market leads in order to build and manage key distribution partner relationships.

Bond recently came to Cigna with over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, after serving previously with AXA where he was most recently Head of Asia of the AXA Global Protect business unit. Bond also has ten years’ experience as Head of Sales, Asia Pacific, for Bupa International and over 12 years with Barclays Insurance Services and Prudential U.K.
