Lockton, the Kansas City-based risk management, insurance, and employee benefits consulting service, has just chosen Andrew Merrilees to head their Asia-Pacific Benefits operation based in Singapore.
Lockton’s search for new leadership began in 2015, prompted by a surge in investment and growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Mike Tyler, Head of Lockton UK Employee Benefits, expressed confidence that the addition of Merrilees allows the company to drive faster development of business and be even more prepared to meet local and global client demands.

Merrilees, who started as Lockton’s Regional Head of Benefits in November 2015, began his career with National BDM Health Management in Sydney, Australia, before moving on to Chubb Security in Sydney, where he was National Risk Manager from 2000 to 2001. He then moved on to be a Founder and Director of Adapt Information Management in Adelaide before becoming Head of Corporate Sales for Australian Unity. Prior to joining Lockton, Merrilees was with Aon Sydney and GU Health, providing wellness solutions to corporate Australia.
