Ludovic Bayard New CEO at GEB

Ludovic Bayard in May 2022 was promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Generali Employee Benefits (GEB). The position reports to Marco Sesana, Country Manager & CEO of Generali Italia and Global Business Lines, and is based in Luxembourg.

Ludovic previously was GEB’s General Manager. He is well known in the global employee benefits market where he is recognized as a trusted point of reference in a sector where GEB plays a leading role.

He is also the legal representative of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. in Luxembourg, with responsibility for overseeing all activities of the Luxembourg branch.

Marco Sesana commented: “I firmly believe that [this appointment] will further enable us to serve our clients at the highest level. […] With more than 20 years in the Generali Group – of which over 10 at GEB – Ludovic starts a new chapter aware of the many assets he can leverage on, from the history and experience of a strong international Group to a powerful and well-recognized brand, to best-in-class network partners”.

According to the Generali Group press release, outgoing GEB CEO Paolo Ribotta “will pursue other professional opportunities”.

Ludovic’s promotion and two other appointments within Generali’s Italy and Global Business Lines division come shortly after the reappointment of group CEO Philippe Donnet, following a months-long battle within Generali’s board of directors that ended with the incumbent winning.

Along with Bayard’s appointment, Giulia Raffo is named Chief Financial Officer of Generali Country Italy & Global Business Lines, and Manlio Lostuzzi, current CEO of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial, expands his responsibilities by also assuming the role of Head of Generali Global Business Lines Insurance Technical Coordination.
