As a registered dietitian for over 20 years, I have a wealth of practical experience in clinical, community, and sports nutrition with audiences of all backgrounds and ages. This has given me skills as a practitioner that allows me to both teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It also allows me to bring an applied and realistic knowledge to research studies.

I have been actively involved in a number of research projects with experience in program development, assessment, written and verbal communication, HIPAA guidelines, and interaction with community partners. Current interests include design, implementation, and evaluation of community and nutrition educational programs; health promotion and disease prevention; translation of health research into practice; health behavior; and hunger and satiety.
