MIBAV from Pulheim, Germany, a firm specialized in consulting corporate top managers and private owners of multinationals in all matters related to strategy and supply chain management of global benefits, received in June 2017 the German “Top Consultant” certification. It is the first time a consulting firm specializing in global employee benefits is certified.
The “Top Consultant” certification focuses on work performed for medium-sized firms, in German “Mittelstand”, that are the backbone and the drivers of the German economy. Such companies valued the help provided by the consultants in taking strategic decisions regarding funding methods as well as choice of suppliers, like brokers, insurers, TPAs etc.
Each consulting firm is assessed across three dimensions: professionalism, performance, and client satisfaction. The firm’s own clients complete an in-depth, confidential survey administered by the certifying body. In 2017, 96 firms were certified as “Top Consultants”.
The certifying committee includes representatives of political parties, managers of large corporations, and scientists; its work relies on independent scientific analysis performed by Prof. Dr. Dietmar Fink and his team from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University through the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung (Scientific Society for Management and Consulting), a private scientific research institute with a focus on management and consulting, that produces well-respected studies of the German consulting market.
