Mercer in November 2020 announced it has appointed Norman Dreger as its new CEO in Germany. He succeeds Achim Lüder, who becomes Mercer’s Global Chief People Officer.

As Managing Director of Germany, he oversees all of Mercer’s business in the country, spanning its services in compensation & benefits, talent management, mergers & acquisitions, investments, and pensions.

Norman has been with Mercer his entire career, joining the consulting firm as a junior. Prior to taking on his new role, he was a Client Leader for large clients, focused on multinationals. Before that, he worked in pensions and actuarial consulting.

An actuary holding several designations (FSA – USA, FCIA – Canada, FCA – UK) and CFA charterholder, Norman studied chemistry and mathematics with a minor in German at the University of British Columbia, Canada.

He is the current chairperson of IEBA, the International Employee Benefits Association.
