Alcon in April 2019 announced it had added Sahil Batra to its staff as Senior Asia Benefits Manager, based in Singapore.

Based in Geneva, Switzerland, Alcon is a global eye care provider. It was founded in Fort Worth, Texas; Fort Worth still is “a major operational, commercial, and innovation hub”. According to the company’s website, Alcon is “the largest eye care device company in the world” and has “complementary businesses in surgical and vision care”. It has a presence in over 70 countries and patients in more than 140 countries.

Batra comes to Alcon from Mercer, where he worked as Global Benefits Management-Asia Practice Leader, and Regional Health and Benefits Consultant in the Singapore area. Previously he held dual roles as benefits consultant and team leader for Willis Towers Watson’s India Support Center in Gurgaon, India.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Sri Venkatashwara College, Delhi University and is an Associate of the Singapore Actuarial Society.
