Smart pensions, the tech platform offering savings and investments globally with investors such as Legal and General Investment Management and JP Morgan, in December 2019 teamed up with Revolut for Business, a part of Revolut, the digital services firm set up in 2015, to offer business clients a retirement savings platform for UK employees.
Revolut’s business customers will now be able to sign up for their business account and put in place a workplace pension for UK employees “in minutes.” This builds upon Revolut’s new offering of direct debit and bill automation for its clients.
With a move to digital pension and employee benefits platform implementation across the insurance and pensions industry, Revolut for Business and Smart Pensions are collaborating to bring technology to the forefront and disrupt more traditional approaches to retirement planning and savings.
Both companies are known for innovation and disruption, with Revolut garnering over 8 million new clients since 2015, by positioning themselves as a digital alternative to traditional banks, and Smart Pensions being one of the UK’s largest corporate pensions providers and winner of the European Pension Fund award of the year 2019.
