Employee benefits management software provider Benify [1], together with global public opinion and data company YouGov, in early 2022 conducted a survey of more than 39,000 employees throughout Europe about their views on the future of work.
Participants were asked to answer a series of questions about their employee benefits, their current work conditions, what they want most from their employer, and what they consider most important when choosing a company to work for. All responses were anonymous and were designed to ascertain how satisfied they were with their current benefits, what would be the most important benefits for them in the future, and other issues such as hybrid / remote work, stress related factors and health-related issues.
The Future of Work Report 2022 found that leave and working hours as well as pension and insurances were the most important benefits, while financial benefits were the most wanted benefits, and benefits related to sustainability were high up on the list when people have decided to apply for a new job or stay with their current employer. The research also found that employees wanted to continue or work more from home with hybrid / remote conditions to create a better work/life balance, and that benefits would have to adapt to this new way of working.
