The 2017 edition of the World Captive Forum will take place from January 29 to 31, 2017, in Boca Raton, Florida.

The two-day main program includes several sessions on employee benefits captives, including “Adding Benefits to Your Property/Casualty Captive”, “Medical Stop-Loss: Single-Parent and Group Captive Solutions”, “Medical Stop-Loss: Single-Parent and Group Captive Solutions”, “Benefits Data: Its Role in Rating and Reserving”, “Legal and Regulatory Update for Benefits Captive Programs” and a panel on “Best Practices for Benefits Captives”.

It is worthwhile noting that employee benefits topics now are almost on a par with P/C and general reinsurance presentations: six sessions are devoted to EB, eight to P/C. Another observation is that as of early November 2017, no P/C insurance carrier or non-life reinsurer is to be found as a sponsor next to two pooling networks, GEB and MAXIS. Whilst these two elements – marketing spend and choice of subjects – may be correlated, they are testimony to the growing importance of captives as a global employee benefits management tool.

Registration fees are $1895 per delegate and early-bird discounts are available. Captive owners attend for free. The registration page is here: http://conferences.businessinsurance.com/conference/world-captive-forum/2017/register
