World Economic Forum Publishes Global Risks Report 2021

Print This Post

World Economic ForumThe World Economic Forum (WEF) in January 2021 published the 16th edition of its annual Global Risks Report.

Prepared with input from global broker Marsh McLennan, South Korean conglomerate SK Group, and insurance carrier Zurich, the 2021 edition of the report focuses on risks arising from societal fractures, with implications for human health, unemployment, widening digital divides, youth disillusionment, and geopolitical fragmentation.

According to the WEF, large cohorts of workers and companies may be excluded from the markets of the future. Furthermore, environmental degradation could compound societal fractures, bringing about severe consequences. Yet, with the world more attuned to risk, lessons can be drawn to strengthen response and resilience.

The report includes an Executive Summary (pages 7-9) and a substantial number of references to further resources.

The 97-page PDF version of the report can be downloaded here.
