World Pension Forum, Brussels, 23-24 May 2019

The agenda of the 8th World Pensions Forum, held at The Brussels Grand–Place, 23-24 May 2019, and organized in association with the European Association of Paritarian Institutions (AEIP) now is finalized.

The forum will focus on pension and retirement governance, pension law and regulation, long-term investment and risk management in the “Post-Brexit Era”.

Plenary panels include:

  • a discussion of the latest advances in the field of ESG and Impact Investing with World Bank experts;
  • the evolving meaning of Consultants, Asset Managers and Pension Trustees’ Fiduciary Duty, led by Prof. Anna Tilba, Durham University, former member of the Law Commission Advisory Committee;
  • a special session on Modern Capitalism: Trusteeship and Employee Shareholding led by Prof. David H. Webber Boston Law School;
  • and a presentation by Prof. W. Jean Kwon, New York’s St. John’s College of Insurance, who pioneered the notions of Cyber Risk Management & Cyber Insurance.

The conference also includes a special session on pension reform and pension design with EU, UK and Australian policymakers and thought leaders, including a round-table about the French pensions system.

Attendance is complimentary, including educational materials and meals, as well as cocktails and the gala dinner at the Beursschouwburg Theater on May 23.
Cultural activities will include private visits of Brussels’s Renaissance palazzos and craft gin-makers.
