The 10th edition of AEIP’s Annual Conference will focus on the adequacy and sustainability of social protection in the years ahead.
The conference program [1] includes keynote speeches by Ms. Ruth Paserman from the European Commission; Ms. Ulrika Hall from the Social Protection Committee of the EU; and Ms. Flavia Micilotta, from the High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance. Panel discussions will address the issues of access to social protection in the context of the European Pillar of Social Rights; of long-term sustainability and future adequacy of the European pension systems; of the European Commission’s most recent legislative proposals on sustainable finance; and finally of the role of the ongoing dialogue between social partners.
AEIP, the European Association of Paritarian Institutions, was founded in 1996 and is a Brussels-based advocacy organization representing Social Protection Institutions jointly established and managed by employers and trade unions and within the framework of collective agreements.
The 2017 edition [2] focused on innovative approaches in delivering pensions and healthcare with new technologies and more efficient investments in pensions, and on developments in workplace health. In 2016, the conference discussed [3] the social impact of the evolution of pensions and healthcare systems in Europe.
The conference will take place on Thursday, 8 November 2018 at the International House of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) – Boulevard Roi Albert II 5 in Brussels, Belgium.
