The 10th edition of AEIP’s Annual Conference will focus on the adequacy and sustainability of social protection in the years ahead.

The conference program includes keynote speeches by Ms. Ruth Paserman from the European Commission; Ms. Ulrika Hall from the Social Protection Committee of the EU; and Ms. Flavia Micilotta, from the High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance. Panel discussions will address the issues of access to social protection in the context of the European Pillar of Social Rights; of long-term sustainability and future adequacy of the European pension systems; of the European Commission’s most recent legislative proposals on sustainable finance; and finally of the role of the ongoing dialogue between social partners.

AEIP, the European Association of Paritarian Institutions, was founded in 1996 and is a Brussels-based advocacy organization representing Social Protection Institutions jointly established and managed by employers and trade unions and within the framework of collective agreements.

The 2017 edition focused on innovative approaches in delivering pensions and healthcare with new technologies and more efficient investments in pensions, and on developments in workplace health. In 2016, the conference discussed the social impact of the evolution of pensions and healthcare systems in Europe.

The conference will take place on Thursday, 8 November 2018 at the International House of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) – Boulevard Roi Albert II 5 in Brussels, Belgium.

Registration is free; for more information or to register, visit www.aeip.net/event or email info@aeip.net.
