Dr. Klaus-Peter Röhler in September 2017 was named Chairman of the Management Board (CEO) at Allianz Deutschland, replacing Dr. Manfred Knof effective 1 January, 2018. Röhler, 52, has been CEO of Allianz Italia since 2015, a post he assumed after serving as CEO of Allianz Suisse for two years.

Dr. Röhler holds a PhD, a degree in Law, and a diploma in Business Administration, and is a member of the Allianz International Executive Committee and a member of the Supervisory Board of Allianz Worldwide Partners. Röhler started his career at Allianz in 1996.

Röhler will be replaced at Allianz Italia by Giacomo Campora, who is currently General Manager in charge of Market and Distribution at Allianz Italia, and CEO of Allianz Bank Financial Advisors.

Mr. Campora was previously General Manager of RAS Assent Management and Manager Merrill Lynch Bank, Milan. He holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Glasgow and is a Graduate in Economics and Business from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.

Dr. Knof, who started his career with Allianz in 1995, will be taking some time off for health reasons. He has been regional CEO of Allianz Deutschland since April, 2015. He previously served as regional CEO of Allianz in Central and Eastern Europe.
