MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN) in December 2024 announced the appointment of Nicolas Denys as Chief Underwriting Officer, effective 1 February 2025. Nicolas will sit on the MAXIS GBN Executive Committee, reporting to CEO Mattieu Rouot. In his new role, Nicolas will lead a team of pricing underwriters who work closely with the MAXIS network of local insurers, the MAXIS E.U. Underwriting Hub and our multinational clients.

Nicolas joins MAXIS from AXA Group where he has worked across underwriting, pricing, portfolio monitoring, product management and actuarial accounting. Most recently, he held the role of Head of Health & Employee Benefits (EB) within the AXA Group Underwriting Office. Prior to this, he held roles in Risk Management, Finance and Strategy within the AXA Group.

Nicolas takes over from Nicola Fordham who in September 2024 took on a new role as Chief Solutions Officer at MAXIS GBN, creating a new function within the business.

Nicolas has worked with AXA for nearly 25 years. He has a postgraduate degree in Actuarial Studies from Centre d’Etudes Actuarielles and a Master’s in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from Angers University.
