Dr. Cinar is a dentist and an internationally accredited ICC (International Coaching Community) coach. Dr. Cinar was assistant professor at the School of Dentistry, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen (2009-2015). She recently has been the course director for “Patient Focused Coaching and Communication” 2011-2014, at the University.

She holds a Ph.D. and DSci. from the University of Helsinki, Finland and an M.B.A. degree from Istanbul Business Administration Faculty, Turkey. She has lectured about health coaching for oral health and chronic disease management at the university and national, international, and academic seminars and congresses.

Dr.Cinar is currently working as a research fellow at the project Mouth Matters, Dental Health Services Research Unit, School of Dentistry, University of Dundee. She has been the principal investigator of several international (IDF, FDI) and national grants (TRYG Fund, University of Copenhagen) related to the project “Smile Healthy to Your Diabetes”; a prospective international project to assess the impact of health coaching on oral health and diabetes type 2 management by use of clinical and subjective measures. She is currently working as a coordinator on a national data analysis project about smoking, alcohol use and oral health habits among adolescents, in collaboration with Oulu University, Finland.

In 2014, the poster presenting the findings from Smile Healthy To Your Diabetes Project that was coordinated and run by AB Cinar was selected for award competition by the Harward School Affiliate – Institute of Coaching, McLean Hospital- for Coaching in Leadership & Healthcare conference, USA.

Dr. Cinar was awarded Women in Science Awards by L’OREAL- UNESCO during her Ph.D. studies, where she organized and ran an international project about assessing the behavioural and maternal determinants of oral health behaviour and its relation with general health among adolescents in Turkey and Finland.

Dr.Cinar’s scientific publications involve 21 articles, 6 proceedings in peer reviewed journals and 31 congress abstracts at international congresses and 4 book chapters/book.

Dr Cinar is one of the 100 Best Global Coaching Leaders by the Jury Members & Advisory Board for the 25th Edition of the World HRD Congress from 15th – 17th February 2017 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
