In a straightforward and strategic organizational move, Generali has appointed Giulio Terzariol to lead its newly established “Insurance” Division, effective January 2024. This appointment marks a significant development in Generali’s organizational structure, consolidating all of its Insurance Business Units into one unified Division.

Giulio Terzariol, with a rich history in the insurance sector, will step into the role of CEO Insurance, a position that entails comprehensive oversight of all insurance Business Units. His purview will extend to managing the activities of the CEOs of Generali’s Insurance Business Units, which span Italy, DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), France & Global Business Activities, and International (encompassing regions like CEE, Mediterranean & Latin America, and Asia).

The establishment of this new Division is a strategic move designed to enhance coordination and effectiveness across various geographies, simplifying the Group’s organizational model. This restructuring is also aimed at achieving the objectives of Generali’s strategic plan, “Lifetime Partner 24: Driving Growth”.

Terzariol, who brings over 20 years of management experience from Allianz SE, including roles such as Member of the Board of Management and Group Chief Financial Officer, is recognized for his significant international expertise in the field. His career, which began at Generali Versicherung and included various leadership roles at Allianz, has been characterized by steady growth and influential leadership in the insurance sector.
