T&D and Dacadoo to build life insurance products for Japan
T&D Holdings, a Japanese listed life insurance holding company, and Swiss digital health platform company dacadoo in July 2018 announced that they will cooperate in the development of digital life insurance products for Japan.
Dacadoo develops and operates a digital Health Engagement Platform to motivate users to achieve and maintain healthy lifestyle habits. Additionally, dacadoo offers a risk engine for underwriting.
T&D Holdings owns three life insurers: Taiyo Life Insurance, Daido Life Insurance and T&D Financial Life Insurance. The group aims to deliver advanced digital life insurance products which support customer’s well-being, as well as pursue a range of innovations potentials in areas such as customer relationships, marketing and underwriting.
According to Dacadoo, its app “combines motivational techniques from behavioral science with gamification that involve users in their holistic – body, mind and lifestyle – health. By bringing together the patented “dacadoo Health Score” with personalized health coaching by an AI-based automated coach, users can achieve high levels of long-term engagement and produce positive outcomes.”
