Allianz Partners in August 2018 announced the establishment of three new innovation centers focusing on travel, health and assistance. The automotive innovation center was launched in 2014.

Allianz Partners is Allianz’s B2B2C provider of assistance, international health & life, automotive, and travel insurance products. They combine insurance, service and technology. They are distributed through partners or via direct and digital channels under four commercial brands: Allianz Assistance, Allianz Care, Allianz Travel and Allianz Automotive. Allianz Partners has 19,000 employees in 78 countries.

The innovation centers “conceptualize, test and implement innovative processes, products and business models by bringing in experience from digital players, start-ups and industry business partners.”

  • The Health Innovation Center’s mission is to build advanced health and life service propositions. Examples today include a symptom checker and a global video consultation platform.
  • The Travel Innovation Center is working on digitizing the traveler’s customer journey.
  • The Assistance and Open Innovation Center works on digital risks and the smart home. It also gathers knowledge and drives pilots in topics such as artificial intelligence, chat and voicebots and blockchain.
  • The Automotive Innovation Center works on connected cars, e-mobility, autonomous driving and shared mobility.
