Dr. Chris Martyniuk is an Associate Professor at the University of Florida’s Center for Environmental and Human Toxicology & Department of Physiological Sciences. As a Molecular Toxicologist / Physiologist, he studies biological responses using omics methods and biochemistry. Mammalian and zebrafish models are used to understand how our chemical environment is associated with human diseases. His research utilizes bioinformatics to integrate molecular data to better link molecular initiating events to adverse outcomes.
He holds a BSc in Biology from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada; a MSc in Zoology from the University of Guelph in Guelph, Canada; and a PhD in Biology from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario.
