Chubb to relocate EU HQ to France post-Brexit

September 2017

Chubb in September 2017 announced that the company intends to locate its European Union headquarters in France if the United Kingdom leaves the E.U. as expected in March 2019.

The company wants to remain well positioned to serve clients, regardless of the ultimate terms of the U.K.’s exit from the European Union. According to Chairman and CEO Evan Greenberg, France was the logical choice as Chubb’s E.U. headquarters as Paris already is the main office for Chubb’s continental European operations and has experience in the French market and works closely with French regulators. The decision is contingent on receiving all necessary regulatory and other governmental approvals.

Post-Brexit, Chubb will continue to have a substantial presence in London in addition to its offices and operations across the UK and EU.
