Xavier Veyry Appointed CEO Asia & Europe at AXA XL
AXA XL in June 2020 announced that Xavier Veyry had been appointed as CEO Asia & Europe, based in Dublin, Ireland, and reporting to Scott Gunter, AXA XL CEO.
In addition to his duties as CEO, Scott Gunter had assumed the role of Interim CEO Eurasia in the context of the new organization of AXA XL and of its leadership team.
Xavier currently is Country CEO of AXA China and Chairman of AXA Tianping in China and AXA General Insurance in Korea. In that role, he oversaw the process towards full ownership of AXA Tianping, making it the largest foreign-owned P&C insurance company in China and the transformation of the company into a diversified insurer and leader in health insurance.
He will continue to serve as Chairman of AXA Tianping and director of ICBC-AXA.
Xavier previously was CEO of AXA Global Direct, based in Shanghai, P.R. of China; CEO and Chairman of the AXA Global Direct Asian Hub and of AXA Direct Korea, based in Seoul, Korea; CEO of Direct Seguros (Spain, Portugal); COO of AXA Global Direct; CEO and COO of the Services Units of AXA Services Company, respectively AXA Insurance Gulf, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Country Manager of AXA Insurance E.C. in Saudi Arabia.
Prior to that, he was Head of Partners Relations at multinational employee benefits network MAXIS, based in Paris, France, having joined from positions of Senior Account Executive, then Gulf Business Development Manager and Medical Manager at AXA Insurance E.C., based in Saudi Arabia.
Xavier Veyry is a graduate of Sup de Co La Rochelle business school in La Rochelle, France.
