Appointments at Lloyd’s Brussels

Lloyd’s Brussels in December 2018 announced the appointment of Delphine Marchessaux as chief underwriting officer.

Delphine previously was head of underwriting, Cargo at Axa Corporate Solutions (now AXA XL) in France. Earlier, she was head of Marine claims (cargo and hull), having started her career as a Marine claims executive and team leader at AXA Corporate Solutions.

She holds a Master of Science degree in Law from IFURTA (Institut de formation universitaire et de recherche du transport aérien – Graduate Training and Research Institute for Air Transport); and joint BAs in Law (Hons.) from Université Paul Cézanne in Aix-en-Provence, France, and The University of Sheffield, U.K.


Michael Flamée, currently a board member at the National Bank of Belgium and chairman of the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation, joins Lloyd’s Brussels as the non-executive chairman of the board.

Former Bank of France governor Christian Noyer joins as a non-executive director.
