2017_05_Jean-Laurent_Granier_Generali_DSCF0313Jean-Laurent Granier in June 2017 joined Generali Group as Country manager for France and Chairman & CEO (Président Directeur Général) of Generali France. In his capacity, he also is a member of the Group Management Committee of Assicurazioni Generali.
Generali France is one of the key providers of group insurance coverage in the French domestic market, as well as of French expatriates products. The group insurance division is led by Yanick Philippon.
Current Chairman & CEO of Generali France Eric Lombard continues to assist Group CEO Philippe Donnet on strategic and institutional matters and remains Chairman of Europ Assistance and a member of the Board of Directors of DVAG until the end of 2017, when he will leave Generali.
Jean-Laurent Granier graduated from France’s elite engineering school Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE (National Graduate School of Statistics and Economics) and from the French Institute of Actuaries (Institut des Actuaires). He joined UAP in 1990 then AXA in 1997 and worked in various positions at AXA France. Since January 2010, Granier has been Chief Executive Officer of the Mediterranean and Latin America Region, encompassing 23 countries, and a member of the AXA Executive Committee. From January 2012 to June 2016, Jean-Laurent Granier has been also Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of AXA Global P&C and a member of the AXA Management Committee.
