Swiss Life (SL) Market Unit International in May 2016 has begun implementing a new operating model for its Corporate Clients business line with a new leadership and a new organizational structure centralized in Luxembourg.

Swiss Life Luxembourg will take a more significant role as the hub for the cross-border insurance business.

Theo Iaponas has taken the lead for Corporate Clients, managing and developing both SL Luxembourg’s activities and the Swiss Life Network. The Corporate Clients management team has also been restructured, strengthening the sales functions, with Vital Schwander heading the Sales and Market Development Department. The Swiss Life Network has also been relocated to Luxembourg, headed by Michael Hansen. This new set-up has been completed with the arrival of Olivier Goïot as head of Operations.

The Corporate Clients team will offer comprehensive employee benefits solutions ranging from retirement, death and disability coverage, not only for local employees but also for expatriates and mobile employees. This new organization and strategic direction are expected to result in an “improved customer-centric business model”.
